The Australian Philharmonic Orchestra celebrates the end of 2008 with special Not New Year’s Eve concerts in the company of close friends, including Australian jazz legend JAMES MORRISON. Also featured will be the stunning voice of BERNADETTE ROBINSON, always entertaining DONALD CANT as our singing compere, conductor BENJAMIN NORTHEY and the inspirational voices of the Willoughby Symphony Choir and the Macquarie University Singers.
Featuring favourite selections from the magical world of theatre, stage and screen, including music by Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin, Julie Styne, Stephen Sondheim and many others, ‘For the Good Times!’ is a program of much loved classics. From Mary Poppins to Shirley Bassey, this feel-good concert will showcase the talents of the 60-piece Australian Philharmonic Orchestra and its very special guests.
