Laugh in the face of ongoing economic cat-astrophe as our favourite feline returns to stalk The Studio stage once more, with her provocative brand of postmodern performance.
Following four-sold out shows in July last year, the indomitable Meow Meow returns to the Sydney Opera House for a strictly limited season from March 2 to 14.
Named Best Cabaret Production at the Sydney Theatre Awards on Monday, the recession-busting extravaganza Meow to the World: Crisis is Born. Again is sure to have audiences digging deep to secure their seats fast.
More glamorous and gorgeous than ever before, Meow’s voice is a wonder to behold, and her rapier wit is sharp enough to slice through the thickest autumn haze.
Direct from Broadway, and still clutching a martini glass, Meow will be joined by New York maestro Lance Horne on piano and local guest musicians.
Ms Meow is back by her own demand, determined to distract the audience from guilt, fear, reality and boredom with this deliciously naughty concert cabaret.
This audience-surfing, bustier-clad, uber-bendy singing sensation will rouse crowds from their summer daze and prepare them for autumnal bliss with her sizzling brand of holiday cheer-otica.
Meow to the World: Crisis is Born was originally presented by David Binder Productions, Josh Wood Productions and Performance Space 122 at the Highline Ballroom, New York in December 2008.
“a comedian of extraordinary nerve: her act is continually on the verge of collapse, catching itself up at the last possible moment.” The Australian
