Due to overwhelming demand, Sydney Opera House today announced a second and final season extension to the unprecedented two-month run of LA SOIRÉE until March 11. The show has taken up residence at the Studio Theatre, and has reinvented the space with its outrageous and sexy fusion of cabaret, vaudeville and comedy.
LA SOIRÉE features the stars of La Clique who first performed together in Edinburgh in 2004. Since then, the show has been seen internationally at countless festivals and has attracted numerous awards, including the Laurence Olivier award for best entertainment.
Creative Producer Brett Haylock has recruited some of the world’s most diverse, bizarre, and mischievous performers that include sexy ‘Bath Boy’ David O’Mer, the shocking and bendy Captain Frodo, and the triumphant acrobatics of the English Gents. Joining the cast from Feburary 14 is Mario, Queen of the Circus, the macho, leather-clad Freddy Mercury wannabe. Special guest stars will also light up the season, keeping in line with LA SOIRÉE’S ever-changing circus-infused showmanship.
The wit and originality of LA SOIRÉE has captured the imagination of Sydney, and this is the last chance to experience the magic of this award-winning production before it closes on March 11.
LA SOIRÉE is part of Sydney Opera House 2012 Summer at the House.
MUST END March 11 - Tickets from $65*
