Sydney Opera House presents
Concert Hall, 27 September 2012
New York glam-queens the Scissor Sisters will bring their infectious dance floor anthems to Sydney Opera House Concert Hall on Sunday 27 September.
In their only Sydney show, the Sisters will showcase their highly-anticipated new album, Magic Hour and perform all their best-loved hits.
Since their international smash hit and GRAMMY nominated debut album in 2004, the Scissor Sisters have leapt from the New York underground nightclub scene to mainstream pop success, reaching #1 in the US, UK and Australian charts and selling over 5 million albums worldwide.
Their signature twist on disco, electro and good old fashioned rock n roll, combined with their flamboyant and risqué live shows have wowed audiences from New York’s Terminal 5 to London’s O2 Arena.
According the Sisters frontman, Jake Shears, Magic Hour, is “a sweet joyful melange of beat-driven future-pop”. Recorded over the last year in London and New York, the band worked with a diverse list of new collaborators, including Calvin Harris, Pharrell Williams, Diplo, Alex Rihda [BoysNoize] and Azealia Banks.
Scissor Sisters are touring nationally.
