CAFÉ WEST OPENS UNDER SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE COLONNADE
There can’t be better views in Sydney than its newest outdoor eatery, Café West under the Colonnade – the first change to the exterior of the beautiful Sydney Opera House since it first opened in 1973.
The Colonnade was officially unveiled by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Monday 13 March, 2006.
Café West is a fully licensed café serving a simple but stylish menu of contemporary and inspiring salads, snacks and tempting desserts in a harbour-side setting. It provides the perfect destination for a lazy Sunday brunch, a light lunch or a glass of wine before you catch an early show.
Sydney Opera House Commercial Manager, Serafina Froio said; “Diners can enjoy uninterrupted city views, right on the waters edge. The Colonnade provides a unique setting which is quite different to other places along East Circular Key.”
Prices for dishes range from $12.50 to $15.50, and desserts are all $12.50. Wine by the glass starts at $6 and beer $5.
The Cafe will be managed by the operators of Sydney Opera House’s Theatre Bar, Fongamanni, who also manage the Sidewalk Café on the lower concourse of Sydney Opera House.
