SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE IN ASSOCIATION WITH MEDIA GIANTS PRESENT
LITTLE BIG SHOTS
Little Big Shots – Australia’s first international children’s film festival – arrives at Sydney Opera House this June to show the best in filmmaking for children and by children, from Australia and around the world.
Perfect for young people aged 5 to 18, Little Big Shots is an inspiring, meaningful and fun-filled film festival featuring a selection of the best in Australian and international children’s shorts, animations, documentaries, features and, amazingly, child-produced films.
Melbourne audiences fell in love with the inaugural Little Big Shots in 2005. Now, the festival comes to Sydney to screen 50 films from South America to Scandinavia and beyond.
‘Little Big Shots is the most entertaining way to see films from a range of countries and to help children become selective and discerning viewers of media. It’s also a great way to help fire up our future filmmakers,’ says Little Big Shots director Marcella Bidinost
The festival will inspire discussion of world cultures, language, cultural diversity, emotional intelligence and human values. Best of all, it will make you laugh, think and create.
Screening over three school days and one weekend, with tickets at just $8, the festival is perfectly affordable winter fare.
Little Big Shots: Inspiring the imaginations, creativity and, quite possibly, the movie-making careers of our children.
