CHRISTMAS AT SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE - THAT'S A WRAP!
Sydney Opera House has Christmas wrapped up with plenty of things to see and do this holiday season, as well as a great range of gift ideas.
Visitors will be able to enjoy a show, go backstage, dine in style or do their shopping - all alongside the most sparkling harbour setting in the world.
From classical music and drama, to opera and dance, Sydney Opera House has some of the world’s best artists performing this holiday season.
Move over Handel: the team that unleashed Spamalot on an unsuspecting public has combined to give Monty Python’s Life of Brian the Messiah treatment.
Eric Idle will triumphantly re-tell this legendary film for two-nights only of baroque ‘n’ roll on December 9 and 12.
The clown prince of polyester, Bob Downe, returns with dual Gold Logie winner Denise Drysdale for some hilarious festive farce in Ding Dong Downe (Dec 18-23).
Two of Australia's best-loved showbiz legends finally team up for an unforgettable evening of musical mirth and hilarity with songs, duets, sketches and surprises.
With a rich program of traditional carols, season classics and Yuletide tales, Opera Australia’s annual Christmas at the House will once again bring the entire family together for a series of special concerts (Dec 19-22).
This year the concert will feature Opera Australia’s tenor Henry Choo and sopranos Antoinette Halloran and Lorina Gore, joined by Christine Anu, Georgie Parker and Jonathon Welch from the Choir of Hard Knocks.
Book tickets to any of the above three shows and receive a 10% discount at Sydney Opera House Shop when spending $25 or more (offer valid from 19 Nov – 25 Dec).
Showcasing an array of contemporary Australian and international design products, the Sydney Opera House Shop offers stylish and modern homewares, jewellery and accessories. This Christmas the shop will offer complimentary gift wrapping.
Take the pressure off gift buying and grab a voucher for any Sydney Opera House experience, whether it be a show, something from the shop or one of our new behind-the-scene tour packages.
To celebrate the spirit of Christmas, Sydney Opera House will also have a Giving Tree on the ground floor of Customs House at Circular Quay from November 19 to December 17. Simply leave a gift to be donated to a number of Sydney Opera House affiliated charities.
