MORE HIGH TEA AT SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE
Sydney Opera House is pleased to announce that of 1 August 2007, High Tea will be held on alternate Wednesdays from 2-4pm at Bennelong restaurant.
Following a series of sell out events, High Tea at Sydney Opera House has quickly established itself as one of Sydney’s hottest tickets.
An afternoon of decadence which will leave you breathless, High Tea at Sydney Opera House features sublime food from Michelin trained culinary maestro Guillaume Brahimi and an exhilarating performance, close up and live, by some of the world’s finest opera singers.
Sydney Opera House and Guillaume have created High Tea for the 21st century, offering a fresh perspective on the concept and adding that special Sydney Opera House magic, the thrill of live performance.
Forget cucumber sandwiches and stale scones, how about fresh crab with coriander mayonnaise served with a 20 minute opera recital?
The move to fortnightly events was in response to public demand, commented Maria Sykes, Director of Tourism and Visitor Operations at Sydney Opera House,
“Since launching in November 2006, High Tea has been embraced by both Sydneysiders and international visitors. We are delighted that it has taken off so quickly and has been such a tremendous success.
The combination of Guillaume’s signature menu and recitals from some of the opera world’s brightest stars has proved to be a winning formula, so much so that we have had to increase the frequency of events in order to keep up with public demand.”
High Tea at Sydney Opera House embodies the spirit of Sydney; bold, contemporary and sophisticated. The food, music and spectacular views across Sydney Harbour offer a visual, aural and culinary sensation which cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
