Sydney Opera House closed for annual maintenance
Sydney Opera House will be closed for annual maintenance on Sunday 18 May and will re-open for business on Monday 19 May.
We apologise for any inconvenience.
The Forecourt – The Monumental Steps and Forecourt will be open for visitors.
Eastern, Western and Northern Broadwalks – the broadwalks that surround the building may be closed.
(Please follow the direction of Security when on site)
Performances and Tours – There will be no performances or guided tours.
Tickets – The Box Office and Call Centre (9250 7777) will be closed. Our website will also be undergoing system maintenance so online ticket sales will be unavailable from 9pm on Saturday 17 May to 4am on Monday 19 May.
Food and Beverage – Opera Bar and the Sidewalk Café will be closed and there will be no kiosks on the Forecourt. (Please note that Opera Bar will be closed from 10pm on Saturday 17 May).
Toilets – There will be no public amenities available. The nearest toilets are at Circular Quay Train Station.
Shops – All precinct shops will be closed and will re-open on Monday 19 May.
