SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE OPEN DAY COMPETITION

  1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions of entry.
  2. Entry is open to residents of Australia. Employees of Sydney Opera House and their immediate families, associated agencies of this promotion and companies associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter the promotion.
  3. To enter, the participants must complete the competition entry form onsite at Sydney Opera House on the 25 October 2009 or SMS their name and email address to the designated number by Friday 30 October.
  4. Participants must be eighteen (18) years or over to enter and qualify for this prize.
  5. The entry cost for SMS will not exceed AUD50 cents plus GST. (The cost of SMS to the participant will be the charge agreed with their mobile phone service provider).
  6. The prizes are not redeemable for cash or transferable to any other person.
  7. Competition commencement date is 10am, Sunday 25 October. Entries close 5pm, Friday 30 October.
  8. The Marketing Specialist at Sydney Opera House will draw the winner and runner up on Friday 6 November, 5pm (EST). The draw will take place at Level 3, Customs House, Alfred Street Circular Quay, NSW, Australia. The winner will be notified by e-mail or telephone and published on the Sydney Opera House website on Monday 8 November 2009.
  9. The first valid entry drawn will win: 2 tickets to Sydney Opera House’s exclusive New Years Eve Party to be held at Sydney Opera House, 31 December 2009 from 5pm – 2.30am. Prize includes food, entertainment, drinks and a $500 Smart Every Day Account  from National Australia Bank (or $500 deposited into an account of choice). Total value of first valid entry is AUD$2,250.
  10. The second valid entry drawn (runner up) will win: 1 Gold Show Plus package (for 2 people). Prize includes 2 course pre-theatre meal (pp) at one of our Partner Restaurants, 2 interval drinks (pp) at Sydney Opera House Theatre Bars and the choice of one car parking voucher or one voucher (pp) for The Essential Tour. Prize valid for 6 months from date of draw. Total value of second valid entry is AUD$196.
  11. Total Prize valued at AUD$2,446. Any change in the value of the prize occurring between the publishing of these Conditions and the date the prize is claimed not the responsibility of the promoters.
  12. Collection/distribution of the prize will be arranged phone.
  13. All other associated travel expenses to redeem the prize are the responsibility of the prize winner.
  14. Data will be collected automatically from all entries between nominated dates and will be retrieved by the CRM specialist, of Sydney Opera House, from the ticketing database.
  15. At the conclusion of the competition date all data collated from successful entries into the competition will be placed in one barrel and two entries will be pulled out. The first person drawn will win the prize listed in point 9. The second person drawn will win the prize listed in point 10.
  16. The promoter’s decision in relation to any aspects of the competition is final and binding on every person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into.
  17. The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any other prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  18. The Promoter and their associated agencies, and companies associated with this promotion will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit.
  19. In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the Prize.
  20. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
  21. In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the event and recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to State Regulation.

Sydney Opera House & Lavazza A Modo Mio Competition 2009

1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions of entry. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. The Promoter is Sydney Opera House Trust, Bennelong Point, Sydney NSW 2000. ABN 69 712 101 035.

3. Entry is open to residents of Australia over the age of 16 (“Eligible Entrant”). Employees of Sydney Opera House and Lavazza and their immediate families, associated agencies of this promotion and companies associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter the promotion.
4. The competition commences on 6 October 2009 at 9.00am (AEDST) and concludes on 12 October at 11.59pm (AEDST) (“Competition Period”).

5. Visitors of Sydney Opera House website (www.sydneyoperahouse.com) and Sydney Opera House e-Newsletter (Inhouse) subscribers are eligible to enter. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of these rights.

6. For e-Newsletter subscribers to enter, the participants must click on the link contained in the Sydney Opera House e-Newsletter email and register their name, address and telephone by email to amodomio@sydneyoperahouse.com.

7. For non E-Newsletter subscribers to enter, the participant must visit www.sydneyoperahouse.com.au/lavazza and click on the link contained in the Sydney Opera House webpage, and complete the same requirements contained in clause 6.

8. You may only enter the competition once.

9. All valid entries will be entered into the competition. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, delayed, corrupted or misdirected entries whether due to error, omission, alteration, deletion, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise.

10. The Promoter may deem entries not complying with these terms and conditions invalid.

11. The winner will be selected at random and will win a prize consisting of one Lavazza A Modo Mio coffee machine and two tickets to Good, Clean & Fair: an afternoon with Carlo Petrini in conversation with Joanna Savill on 18 October 2009.  The prize is valued at a maximum of $500.

12. The winner will be notified by email and telephone and will be published on the Sydney Opera House website on Tuesday 13 October 2009.

13. The prize will be sent via standard post or if there is a performance the winner wishes to see which is within 10 days from the date the winner is notified, ticket(s) will be held for collection at the Box Office under the winner’s name.

14. The Promoter may disqualify invalid entries from this competition or the entries of any person who tampers with or benefits from the tampering with the entry process or the conduct of the competition. The Promoter may cancel, suspend or vary the competition if for any reason it is not capable of being conducted as planned.

15. Prizes are not exchangeable or transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. If a winner does not take a part of the prize at the time set by the Promoter, the winner will forfeit that part. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for changes in prize value. 

16. The prize/s must be claimed by 14 October 2009 otherwise that winner will forfeit the prize and the Promoter will select another winner and distribute the prize accordingly.

17. If for reasons of a technical nature this promotion is not capable of running as planned the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to stop the promotion and recommence it at an alternative time with an alternative prize.

18. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss (including without limitation, indirect, consequential or indirect loss), cost or damage, personal injury or death which is suffered (whether or not due to the negligence of any person) in connection with entering the competition or using the prize, except any liability which cannot be excluded by law (and if so, that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).

19. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for the tax implications from prize winnings.

RONNIE BURKETT – SYDNEY FESTIVAL BUZZ COMPETITION

1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions of entry.

2. Entry is open to residents of Australia. Employees of Sydney Opera House and their immediate families, associated agencies of this promotion and companies associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter the promotion.

3. To enter, participants must purchase a ticket to Ronnie Burkett’s Billy Twinkle: Requiem for a Golden Boy – performances on Thu 1, Fri 2, Sat 3 and Sun 4 October before 5pm Wednesday 30 September 2009.

4. The prize is not redeemable for cash.

5. Competition commencement date is Friday 25 September 2009. Entries close 5pm Wednesday 30 September 2009.

6. The CRM Marketing Specialist at Sydney Opera House will draw the winner on Thursday 1 October at 10am (EST). The draw will take place at Level 3, Customs House, Alfred Street Circular Quay, NSW, Australia. The winner will be notified by e-mail or telephone and published on the Sydney Opera House website by 5pm Thursday 1 October 2009.

7. The first valid entry drawn will a $100 gift voucher for Opera Bar and an opportunity to meet Ronnie Burkett and his marionettes at Sydney Opera House. The winner must meet Carmel Schenke and Ronnie Burkett at Stage Door at 2pm Sunday 4 October

 Total Prize valued at $AUD100. Any change in the value of the prize occurring between the publishing of these Conditions and the date the prize is claimed not the responsibility of the promoters. Travel or parking costs will be the responsibility of the prize winner.

3. To enter, the participants must purchase tickets to Dangerously Funny, and use the promotional code COMEDYSTORE by Wednesday 30 September 2009

DINING
a) Dining offer is for a two course, pre-theatre dinner for two persons, made up of items selected from the pre-theatre menu. This could be either one entrée and one main meal or one main and one dessert, depending on the restaurant.
b) You as the customer are responsible for making your own restaurant booking.
c) Restaurant bookings are subject to availability and to any terms and conditions of the restaurant, including the restaurant’s trading hours and closures to the public as a result of special events or special bookings.
d) Please inform the restaurant of any special requirement, including dietary, at the time of booking.
e) You must advise the restaurant at the time of booking that you are redeeming your voucher.
f) You must present a valid voucher on arrival at the restaurant.
g) All beverages and any additional food requested are at your own cost and payable by you directly to the restaurant.


TOUR
a) Tour voucher is for two admissions to The Essential Tour at Sydney Opera House.
b) Voucher must be presented at the Tours desk in the Box Office Foyer prior to the commencement of the tour.
c) Tours leave every 30 mins from 9am – 5pm 7 days a week, except on Good Friday and Christmas Day.
d) Admission on The Essential Tour is subject to availability and tours may be cancelled or rescheduled at the discretion of the Sydney Opera House when public access to the site may be temporarily restricted as a result of special events or as a crowd control or safety measure.
e) Additional Terms and Conditions apply to all tours. Please consult the Tours page of our website and the conditions of tour participation and venue entry printed on the reverse of your tour ticket. You should carefully read these terms and conditions as you will be bound by them.


PARKING
a) One parking voucher only for one vehicle.
b) Parking voucher is only available at Wilsons Parking, Sydney Opera House Car Park, 2 Macquarie Street, Sydney. 
c) Parking is only valid for arrivals after 5pm and departures before 1am the following morning
d) Parking benefit is subject to availability and to the terms and conditions of Wilson’s Parking.
e) Parking voucher can only be used with the Sydney Opera House Show Plus Package and only on the night of the performance.
f) Parking voucher can not be used with any other offer.


GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR SHOW PLUS PACKAGES
a) All vouchers, except Parking, are fully transferable.
b) Vouchers have no cash value and are not redeemable for cash or any other products.
c) Additional Terms and Conditions apply to your entry to the performance venue. Please consult the conditions of venue entry printed on the reverse of the ticket for your chosen performance.  You should carefully read these terms and conditions as you will be bound by them.
d) The Sydney Opera House will not be liable for any act or omission by any person not employed directly by them including but not limited to any action or omission of the restaurant or Wilson Parking, including any actions or omissions of their servants, agents or employees.  Subject to these terms and conditions, any liability of the Sydney Opera House shall be limited to the price paid by you for the Package.
e) These terms and conditions are governed by the law applicable in New South Wales and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts in that State.

PARKING
