SPRING DANCE 'STREET, STRIKE, SNAP' PROMOTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions of entry. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. The Promoter is Sydney Opera House Trust, Bennelong Point, Sydney NSW 2000. ABN 69 712 101 035.

3. Entry is open to residents of Australia over the age of twelve. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and agencies and companies associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter the promotion. If you are under 18 years old, your parent or guardian’s consent to your entering this Competition and agreeing to these Terms and Conditions is required before you enter.

4. The competition commences on Friday 3 August 2012 Australian Eastern Standard time and will close at 11.59 pm Australian Eastern Standard time on Wednesday 29 August.

5. You may enter the competition as many times as you like. However, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any incomplete or automated entries. 

6. To enter the competition, participants must:

•  like the ‘Dance at the House’ facebook page then,
•  follow the prompts to upload an image of their dance pose, and
•  include their first name, last name, email address and telephone number.

7. Chance plays no part in determining the winners.  Prize winners will be selected by  a  judge appointed by the Promoter,  based on a combination of their location, pose and the type of filter they’ve used. The first prize is a 32GB New iPad (W-Fi + Cellular) valued at $789. The five runner up prizes are $100 Westfield vouchers. 

8. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspects of the competition is final and binding on every person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into.

9. The winner will be notified by email and telephone and will be published on the Sydney Opera House website, www.sydneyoperahouse.com on Thursday 30 August.  All prize winners’ photographs will be featured on our facebook page and blog.

10. Prizes will be sent via standard post or courier.

11. All entries become the property of the Promoter. Promoter reserves the right to publish the entries or any part of the entries in any manner including to promote the Sydney Opera House without seeking the permission of the entrant.

12. Each entrant warrants that s/he is the creator and owner of the entry and that s/he has full rights in and title to all aspects of the entry.

13.  Each entrant assigns and transfers all right, title and interest in the copyright and other intellectual property rights in the entry to Promoter.

14.  Each entrant waives its moral rights in respect of the entry and consents to use of the entry by Promoter without any attribution as to authorship by Promoter. Each entrant waives its moral rights of integrity so that Promoter is free to modify, alter and use the entry for any purpose and in any manner it chooses.

15. Each entrant warrants that s/he has the rights to assign all interests in the copyright in the entry to Promoter and indemnifies Promoter against any claims, demands, losses, damages and costs that Promoter incurs or may incur as a result of a breach of this warranty.

16. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspects of the competition is final and binding on every person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into.

17. The Promoter and companies associated with this promotion will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit.

18. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt onto the Promoter’s facebook page. The Promoter is not responsible for entries not received or the receipt of incorrect, inaccurate, or incomplete information caused by an entrant or occurring during transmission. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone or computer network, line or server or internet provider, traffic congestion on any phone or computer network or any combination thereof including any dame to participants computer related to or resulting from participation or uploading any material in this Competition.

19. If for any reason this promotion is cancelled or is not capable of running as planned, due to an intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the event and recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to State Regulation

20. In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the Prize.

21. The personal information you provide in entering this competition, including the photograph you upload, will be used by the Promoter to conduct the competition. By entering this promotion, the entrant consents to the storage of their personal information on the Promoter’s database and the Promoter may use this information for future promotional and marketing purposes regarding the Promoter’s products including contacting the entrant via electronic messaging. Your name and contact details may also be shared with various third party organisations, including resident companies, presenting partners and our sponsors, who may contact  you from time to time regarding promotions.  Such organisations must comply with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy and with strict conditions governing how personal information is to be handled including applicable privacy Laws.

22. By entering, each entrant under the age of 18, warrants that s/he has obtained consent from his/her parent or guardian to enter this competition in compliance with these conditions of entry.

FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS TWITTER GIVEAWAY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions of entry. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

4. The competition commences at 10am Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)on Friday 29th June and will close at 12pm Midday AEST on Friday 29th June.

5. You may only enter the competition once. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any incomplete or automated entries.  Multiple entries from the same IP address, same email address or from automated competition entry services are invalid.

7. The best validly submitted tweet given in response to the Promoter's tweet as determined by the judges appointed by the Promoter, will win the prize. The prize is two tickets to Flight Of The Conchords performance at Sydney Opera House on Thursday 5th July, valued at $180.

8. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspects of the competition is final and binding on every person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into

9. The winner will be notified through our twitter account and must be following us to be able to  receive the winning confirmation via direct message (twitter’s private messaging system). The winner must confirm his/her contact details with the Promoter via twitter's direct message in order to claim the prize and before tickets are allocated to them. The winner’s details will also be published on the Sydney Opera House  Twitter account and Facebook pages on Friday 29th June at 1pm.

10. Tickets must be used on the date stipulated and are not redeemable for cash or transferable to any other person or transferable between dates or times.

11. Prizes will be sent via standard post or if the performance is within 10 days from the close of the competition, tickets will be held for collection at the Sydney Opera House Box Office under the winner’s name. Tickets must be collected from the Box Office no later than 30 minutes prior to the performance. Any ticket not collected 30 minutes prior to the performance will be released for sale.

3. Entry is open to residents of Australia except for residents of WA, TAS, NT and VIC. Entrants must be over the age of eighteen. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, its agencies and companies associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter.

4. The competition commences on Friday 8 June 2012 and will close at 11.59pm Australian Eastern Standard Time on Sunday 24 June 2012.

5. Participants may only enter the competition once. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any incomplete or automated entries. Multiple entries from the same IP address, same email address or from automated competition entry services are invalid.

7. The first valid entry drawn by the judges will win the prize. The prize is valued at AU$8,000 and includes:

9. The prize draw will take place at Customs House, Lvl3 31 Alfred Street, Circular Quay on Monday 25 June at 5pm. The winner will be notified by email and telephone and will be published on the Sydney Opera House website (www.sydneyoperahouse.com/terms) on Tuesday 26 June 2012.

10. The first drawn prize winner must claim the prize before the 2 July. If the first drawn prize winner cannot be contacted by 2 July, a second chance draw will be conducted at 9am on 3 July at Customs House Lvl 3, 31 Alfred Street, Circular Quay. The second chance prize winner will be notified by email and telephone and will be published on the Sydney Opera House website (www.sydneyoperahouse.com/terms) on 3 July 2012.

11. The prize must be claimed and travel booked by 6 July 2012. Due to the time sensitivity of the prize components offered, travel must be taken from 24 July – 30 July 2012.

12. Taxes, any passport or visa related charges, meals (unless specified), incidentals, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the prize winner. Travel to/from the departure city airport is the responsibility of the prize winner. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurrent in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

13. Tickets must be used on the date stipulated and are not redeemable for cash or transferable to any other person or transferable between dates or times.

14. The prize winner and companion must travel at the same time, must depart from the same departure city (departing from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane) and are responsible for transport from their residence to the airport for departure.

15. Collection/distribution of the prize will be arranged by phone. The promoter reserves the right to request the prize winner provide proof of identity, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity in order to claim the prize. Proof of identification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a prize winner cannot provide suitable proof to the satisfaction of the Promoter, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.

Open Day ‘Refer a Friend’ Promotion (“Promotion”) Terms and Conditions
1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions of entry.
2. This promotion is not open to Employees and their immediate families of Sydney Opera House, associated agencies of this promotion and companies associated with this promotion.
3. The Promotion is only open to eligible entrants, being individuals who are permanent residents of Australia.
4. Competition commencement date is 28/09/2011. To be eligible, entries must be received by close of business 16/10/2011.
5. At the conclusion of the competition date all data collated from successful entries into the competition will be collated and a winner will be randomly chosen. The person drawn will win the Prize listed in point 7.
6. The Marketing Specialist at Sydney Opera House will draw the winner on 19/10/2011 (EST). The draw will take place at Level 3, Customs House, Alfred Street Circular Quay, NSW, Australia. The winner will be notified by e-mail or telephone and/ or published on the Sydney Opera House website www.sydneyoperahouse.com.
7. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families, associated agencies of this promotion and companies associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter the promotion. Adult supervision for prize winners under the age of 18 may be required.

4. The competition commences at 9am on 2 December 2011 and will close at 5.30pm on 29 February 2012.

5. You may only enter the competition once. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any incomplete or automated entries.  Multiple entries from the same IP address, same email address or from automated competition entry services are invalid.

COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

4.         The competition commences on Wednesday, 22 June 2011 and will close at 11.59 pm on Friday, 1 July 2011. The prize winner will be drawn by the Promoter in our offices on Monday, 4 July 2011.

5.    You may only enter the competition once. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any incomplete or automated entries.  Multiple entries from the same IP address, same email address or from automated competition entry services are invalid.

6.    To enter the competition participants must SMS the competition SMS number displayed above the pop-up magic stall, saying ‘Hey Presto’ followed by their name, email address and contact number.

7.   The winners will be chosen at random on Tuesday the 24th of January 2012 at 4.00pm.

8.    The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspects of the competition is final and binding on every person who enters.

9.    The winner will be notified by email and telephone and will be published on the Sydney Opera House website on 28th January 2011.

10.    Prizes are not redeemable for cash or transferable to any other person or transferable between dates or times.

11.    Prizes will be sent via standard post.

12.    The Promoter and companies associated with this promotion will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit.

13.    If for any reason this promotion is cancelled or is not capable of running as planned, due to an intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the event and recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to State Regulation

14.    In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the Prize.

15.    The personal information you provide in entering this competition will be used by the Promoter to conduct the competition. In case of an emergency Sydney Opera House will use the contact details supplied when entering this competition.
