Co-written by Jan Utzon, son of Sydney Opera House architect Jørn, the book features a foreword written by Jørn and contains previously unpublished photographs and sketches from the Utzon family archives, including photographs of Jørn and Jan at home in Denmark.
Both a personal illustrated memoir and a tribute to the genius of Utzon, the book embodies the spirit of Jørn Utzon in a remarkable way, complemented by Jan Utzon recounting the influence that Sydney Opera House has had on the Utzon family’s life.
In celebration of the brilliant work of the late Jørn Utzon, and the photographic work of Katarina Stübe, Sydney Opera House’s wine partner Hungerford Hill has produced the Hungerford Hill Artist Series 2005 Shiraz, a limited edition range of six individually number bottles featuring images from the book in a timber presentation case.
