GLOBAL PHOTO COMPETITION

"Capture the shifting sails of Australia's most iconic building on camera...
Get shooting!"
  Time Out Sydney

This week we've seen everything from drama and romance to wild animals! Be inspired by the great entries, then get clicking and  enter  your own. If you prefer to just sit back and appreciate all this amazing talent, check out the entries and vote for your favourites  here .

Don't leave it too late to enter. There's just under 2 weeks to go and the earlier you get your entry in, the more time there is for people to vote for it.

TIPS FOR FINDING YOUR PHOTO
When you're on the Snapfish competition page, click View and Vote, which will take you to the page where you can view all of the entries. Only 100 of the entries can be viewed at a time. To get to the next batch of 100 entries, scroll through the thumbnail images at the bottom of the page, click on the last image and a button will appear that says View more. Click on this and it will take you to the next batch of 100 entries. Continue this process to view the next 100 entries and so on.

Note: The entries constantly revolve at random. Therefore your entry may appear in the first batch of 100 on one day and the last batch on another. The is to keep things fair and ensure that all entries have the same level of opportunity to be viewed by voters.

Do you have a pixel perfect perspective?

Have you taken a photo of Sydney Opera House like no other that deserves to be on show?

Sydney Opera House and Hewlett-Packard, our Business Partner, are launching House in Focus; a global photography competition where one lucky winner will have their best shot exhibited at Sydney Opera House.

The winning photo will be mounted onto a large-scale canvas for display in the Western Foyer - home to three Sydney Opera House theatres – where thousands of visitors will see it every week.

Two runners up will each receive a large scale canvas of their image, a roof tile from Sydney Opera House (collected during the original construction) and a book, Building a masterpiece: the Sydney Opera House - a full colour photographic journey of the history of the House.

Voting is open to you, the public, until we reach the final top ten.  From these finalists, three winners will be selected by our judging panel which consists of Architect Jan Utzon, son of Sydney Opera House architect Jørn, photographer Eric Sierins, Director of Max Dupain and Associates and Michael Mendenhall, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, HP.

How to Enter
You can upload your image of Sydney Opera House  here .  Voting of the images is open to the public who can vote until midnight on July 30, when three winners will be selected by our judging panel.

Entries will be judged on artistic merit, and of course creativity.  Lateral thinking, unusual entries and a fresh way of looking at one of the most photographed buildings in the world are what the judging panel will be looking for.  Our only rule is no photos taken from the interior of the building will be accepted.

Please note, entries will be reviewed for suitability before being published on the photo contest website. This may take up to 1 working day.

The Prizes
