Description
At Sydney Opera House we understand that the early years are a key time for a child’s physical, emotional, social and intellectual development. We are committed to giving children of all learning levels and styles the opportunity to get the most out of their Sydney Opera House experience.
Our free Creative Play programs enable active and engaged learning for children through exploration, play, creativity and imagination.
Our trained educators and facilitators will lead and support your children throughout the creative play process, encouraging them to participate, learn and develop their own creativity.
29 June – 14 July | 10am - 4pm
Sydney Opera House presents Polyglot Theatre’s Sound of Drawing - a drawing table that has been wired for sound. As kids are lead through a series of artistic activities by a trained facilitator the sound of their pastels, crayons or textas on the table is picked up by sensitive microphones and amplified to create a soundscape.
Sept 21 – 6 Oct | 10am - 4pm
How are sound effects made? A very creative (and noisy!) set of activities will delight families during the September/October school holidays at the House! You’ll get to make sounds from objects new and old, and participate in interactive installations and digital activities. Let no sound go unfound!
