MADE 2014 – AUSTRALIAN AND DANISH WINNERS

Introducing the first five Australian and Danish MADE participants, who are participating in the 2014 MADE program in Denmark and Australia respectively.

JAKOB FRANIJEUR HOLMQUIST-LARSEN

Master of Architecture, Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts

Jakob brings his strong interest in space and its influence on surroundings, and will apply his experience from working in top Danish architecture studios to the collaborative design process throughout the program.

KARINA KORSGAARD JENSEN

Master in Communication and Interactive Design, Kolding Design School

Karina’s main focus in her studies lies in interaction design and experience. Karina’s idea of space is not only the physical space, but also the intangible flow of people and information and how this influence peoples experience of the space. Her interest in this field lies especially in tangible user interfaces, social design and service design where she sees great potential for undiscovered opportunities.

Diploma of Engineering in Building Design, Aarhus University

Pernille will demonstrate that the ideal solution is found within multidisciplinary design. By applying the technical skills taught in her studies, she will enable energy efficient and sustainable solutions.

CAROLINE RICHARDT BECK

Bachelor of Architecture, The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation

Caroline is experimental, innovative and open minded, structured and determined. Her background as a contemporary dancer will give a special cross-disciplinary angle of approach to the program. She wants to explore how to address the social and climatic challenges of today and tomorrow in a multidisciplinary context.

Master of Architectural Engineering, Aalborg University

Jonas will bring his experience in teamwork and integrated design strategies into the design process and through advanced digital tools promote the poetic unification of architecture and engineering.

Laura will apply the multidisciplinary skills taught in her degree, within a real collaborative design team, with the objective to achieve efficient and sustainable solutions.

Robert will apply his skills with digital tools to achieve innovative and sustainable driven solutions within multidisciplinary design. He aspires to establish a mentoring program and a forum for all MADE alumni to collaborate in the future.

Master of Architecture, University of Sydney

Jennifer will explore how collaborative design can contribute to enduring and accessible architecture. She will promote multidisciplinary design and act as an advocate for Jørn Utzon’s design legacy.

Olivia’s creative perspective of space and architecture in a multidisciplinary context will make an invaluable contribution to the MADE program.

Matthew will demonstrate that with the right combination of minds, expertise and attitudes, even the most challenging technical projects can be successfully completed.
