Introducing the next five Australian MADE students, who are participating in the 2015 MADE program in Denmark.

Alex is passionate about sustainably designing built environments that are sensitive responses to the landscapes that support them. He is excited about bringing holistic, landscape architectural thinking to the multidisciplinary design process which Utzon espoused.

Julianne is focused on the development of innovative engineering solutions which empower architectural design. She will use her collaborative and technical skills to help facilitate cross-disciplinary solution finding.

Alasdair is interested in the unification of architecture and engineering, and believes that collaboration and communication between architects, designers and engineers will lead to innovative design solutions.

Nina is interested in the multidisciplinary edges of architecture and the potential solutions that lie in unconventional interactions. She will explore and promote the benefits of multidisciplinary practice in designing for the future.

Nicholas will bring his background in Visual Arts and Engineering to inquire in how the engagement of different disciplines can inform better design processes. He will explore how digital tools can enable multidisciplinary design in an information age.

Jakob is strongly interested in space and its influence on surroundings. He will apply his experience from working in top Danish architecture studios to the collaborative design process.

Karina’s main focus lies in interaction and experience design. She will apply her unique skills, particularly in tangible user interfaces, social and service design.

Pernille will demonstrate that the ideal solution is found within multidisciplinary design. By applying her technical skills, she will enable energy-efficient and sustainable solutions.

Caroline is prominently interested in the human experience of space fostered by her background in dance. She will bring multidisciplinary skills and her innovative mindset.
