LATEST ACCESS NEWS 
 

Sydney Opera House will be the first performing arts center in Australia to present sensory theater designed specifically for audiences with multiple and profound disabilities. Oddysea, the latest work by Sensorium Theatre is coming to the Opera House in August. You can find out more information here or watch a testimonial here.

Captioning of our Talks and Ideas Series 
Sydney Opera House recently begun the process of close captioning all our Talks and Ideas series featured online. This includes talks and interviews from Ideas at the House, Festival of Dangerous Ideas and All About Women festival. You can find these talks on the Ideas at the House YouTube channel and watch the videos with captions by clicking the 'CC' icon on the bottom right-hand side of each video. 

The Sydney Opera House offers sign language interpretation and captioning for our live talks upon request. Requests for sign language interpreters and captioning must be received at least two weeks prior to the event by the Accessibility Program at accessibility@sydneyoperahouse.com. These requests are subject to the availability of an interpreter and of a captioner. 

New surtitle screens
New surtitle screens have been installed in the Joan Sutherland Theatre for viewing from the wheelchair accessible seating area.
