Description

Symphony No. 9 in D Minor, 4th Movement
Excerpts from Fidelio
Mass in C

A night of music by the genius who was Ludwig van Beethoven!

When the Berlin Wall finally came down in 1989, there was only one work that could capture the optimism of the entire world – Beethoven’s exhilarating Ode to Joy, perhaps the best-known choral work ever written. Written in less troubled times his early work Mass in C is a homage to Haydn and is Beethoven at his most classical. Beethoven’s only opera, Fidelio, is the ultimate statement of his belief in personal liberty and political freedom.

Duration: 120 minutes with interval
