The unique guitar sound that is Albare is renowned for attracting skilled line ups boasting some of the worlds finest musicians. On his 2014 celebration tour, yet again, he won’t disappoint. The most recent addition being of the world's leading percussionists - Sammy Figueroa.

Sammy has played on countless recordings, providing the rhythmical framework for hundreds of hits. His credits include The David Letterman Band, Saturday Night Live Band, Miles Davis, the Brecker Brothers, Sonny  Rollins, Michel Camilo, Chaka Khan, David Bowie, and Mariah Carey.

Sammy joins other new recruit Axel Tosca Laugart on keys (George Clinton, The Roots), + regular collaborators Yunior Terry – bass & Pablo Bencid – drums, who fill out the quintet. This combination of global influences joining forces to back and perform the music of Albare, drawn from his x 20 years of recording & dedication to the art of jazz. A show not to be missed.

The Albare Quintet have just completed an extensive tour of the U.S. & Europe, celebrating his third album release for Germany's Enja Records titled "Two Decades Of Jazz". The album features a personal selection from his first seven albums, inlcuding tracks that are no longer available. The album title also indicative of his tireless, life long, dedication to the art of jazz. As the Director of the Melbourne International Jazz Festival he presented great artists. to Australian audiences including Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter and Gary Burton. Albare is also the founder of the Jazz "Bell" Awards.
