'I've never worked with anyone like them before' – Rick Rubin

Raised on the songs of Van Morrison, The Eagles and The Beatles in Sydney's Northern Beaches, the Stones' familial bond has enraptured audiences around the globe, veering between Julia's romantic confessionals and the pop-flecked storytelling of younger brother Angus. Spending recent years releasing solo albums and touring on opposite ends of the world, it took the magical touch of Rick Rubin for the duo to reconvene at Malibu's mythical Shangri La studios – writing side by side for the first time at the birthplace of timeless recordings by Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan and The Band. Spurring the blissed out rhythms of '70s songwriting greats into their grandest statement yet, the duo have honed in on their singular chemistry with lead single 'Heart Beats Slow', 'the vital stepping stone into us actually writing together, and throwing ideas into the melting pot' (Angus Stone).

Now embarking on an enthralling third act that nearly never happened, Angus & Julia Stone will bring their dream-drawn melodies back to the city where it all began – guiding audiences deeper into the songbook that captured the nation's heart from the celestial surrounds of the Concert Hall stage.
