‘Jodie Le Vesconte’s … interpretation was thoughtful, exciting and quite simply stunning. This is a riveting and thought-provoking piece.’ Arts Hub
The Shape of a Girl is a riveting, one-woman production that examines the tough and complicated terrain of teenage relationships. Inspired by the murder of 14-year old Reena Virk by her peers in 1997, award-winning playwright, Joan MacLeod looks at the way incidents of childhood cruelty can escalate.
In light of recent events and reports of increased violence in Australian schools, this production explores the frightening realities of the teenage world with honesty and profound insight.
Caution: This production contains confronting themes and issues.
