Description
When His Watch Stopped
House:Ed 2010
Recommended age: Years 5-9
Sadari Theatre Company’s When His Watch Stopped compassionately confronts the difficult theme of war and its consequences.
Using masked performance, striking visual art, mime and imagery, it tells the emotional story of a newly married couple who are torn apart by war, and the feelings experienced when a loved one does not return.
Inspired by the thoughts and paintings of children with war-related trauma, this visually powerful production encourages open discussion and gently addresses the anxiety, fear and hope of children affected by war.
Combined Excursion - Sydney Jewish Museum
Based on the Sydney Jewish Museum exhibition Butterflies of Hope, this program centers on the experiences and stories of children who have endured WW2. Guided by child survivors, this tour and exhibition will provide an insight into the affect conflict has on individuals.
