Murray Perahia - piano virtuoso! One night only at the Sydney Opera House.

Shortly before we launched our 2013 concert season, we received a note: ‘Mr Perahia very much looks forward to having his Australian debut in Sydney!’

And we pass on the news with equal delight, announcing the first appearance in Australia of one of the great pianists of our time.

What we can’t tell you just now is the program that Murray Perahia will present in his gala recital. Perhaps he’ll play Beethoven or Mozart, Brahms or Chopin… Perhaps he’ll play the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, with whom he’s been so closely associated for twenty years.

Regardless, you can expect a performance characterised by deep intelligence, absolute clarity of sound, and an exquisite sensitivity to style. A recital to remember.
