Description

This quintet of players from the West Australian Symphony Orchestra performs a program of Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet and the World Premiere of James Ledger’s Clarinet Quintet, commissioned with funds made available by the Musica Viva Regina Ridge Trust.

As Composer-in-Residence with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, James Ledger’s music is receiving acclaim all over the world. This new commission, partnering the exquisite Quintet of Mozart, will be a major new work in Australia’s chamber music catalogue. The musicians of the WASO play the Mozart Quintet as if it was written for them - all lightness, humour and delight. This concert is sure to be a highlight of the season.
