“Hello possums!” It’s Dame Edna (and her alter ego Barry Humphries) in a concert strictly for the young at heart.

Description

Join Dame Edna and her alter ego Barry Humphries in a side splitting performance of storytelling definitely  for the young at heart. Hear the magic and wonder of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Carnival of the Animals and even the Spanish tale of Juanita, a lobster living in a grotto off the coast of Wales.

After the broom-splitting magic of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice to begin, we’re then off to an evening of storytelling. Barry, we’re assured, will acquit himself with style and taste in the Ogden Nash verses for Carnival of the Animals.

Then it’s the housewife from Moonee Ponds in her best frock for what she likes to call a “little story about bravery and animal rights”. Our finale is the fabulously Spanishy tale of Juanita, a lobster living in a grotto off the coast of Wales. Where else?

DUKAS The Sorcerer’s Apprentice
SAINT-SAËNS Carnival of the Animals
FALLA Three Dances from The Three-Cornered Hat
PROKOFIEV Peter and the Wolf
HASLAM Juanita, the Spanish Lobster
