Dance Rites — Australia’s First Nations dance competition — is the Sydney Opera House’s free, two-day celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island dance and cultures on the Sydney Opera House Forecourt each spring.
Last year on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 November, Dance Rites returned bigger than ever. More than 350 performers from 19 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island groups celebrated the dance and culture of the first inhabitants of this land.
