Thursday, 30th April 8pm AEST – Talks and Ideas

Recorded in the Concert Hall, as part of ANTIDOTE 2018

After Chelsea Manning’s 2017 release from military prison, she became one of the world’s most prominent activists around areas of data privacy, surveillance and trans politics. Meet this truly extraordinary change maker at the height of her power, as part of ANTIDOTE 2018.

In conversation with Peter Greste via satellite, direct from LA.

Since the filming of this event, Chelsea Manning was taken back into custody in May 2019 for contempt of court, having refused to cooperate with a grand jury. In March 2020, a federal judge ordered Manning’s release from a jail in Virginia.
