Angélique Kidjo on the strength & joy of life
When Angélique spoke to the Sydney Opera House for this interview, she had two Grammys to her name - she's up to 4 now. In this classic interview from the archives, she discusses how music can build bridges and the inspiration behind her 2014 album Eve.
During COVID-19 and the recent protests in America, she has been vocal.
""A society with no culture is not a society that survives, it's impossible because we are not just logic, we are spirituality, we are art – it's part of our DNA," she told AFP.
"Without black music, there's no modern music."
