A night of hazy, swooning R&B
THE INTERNET absolutely stole the show on their last sold-out Australian tour, and the seductive, neo-soul quintet have only gotten bigger, better and sexier since then. We can’t wait for them to take to the Concert hall stage for the first time, performing a career-spanning set including songs from their acclaimed fourth album, Hive Mind (2018).
Fronted by the breezy R&B powerhouse Syd Bennett (formerly Syd Tha Kyd), the once-Odd Future offshoot broke through with their psychedelic opus Ego Death (2015), garnering a Grammy nod for their third album and putting a positive knock back into LA hip-hop.
At the peak of their collective powers, the group threw the rulebook out and went on their own solo adventures. Front-woman Syd shared her intricate, bass-heavy debut Fin, Matt Martians dropped his funk-infused study The Drum Chord Theory, and 20 year-old guitar genius Steve Lacy dropped an entire record made on his phone.
Reuniting under The Internet hood for the critically acclaimed Hive Mind, described by NME as "a towering demonstration of the collective intelligence of five artists approaching their zenith", get set for a night of hazy, swooning R&B, you'll be dancing in the aisles to before long. They gon' get us to come together.
