Experience the immersive sound and vision of an electronic mastermind
Having performed as part of Brian Eno’s Luminous Festival alongside Underworld and The Necks in 2009, selling out The Metro in February and recently headlining Glastonbury, celebrated electronic producer Jon Hopkins is back by popular demand, returning to the Sydney Opera House to make his headlining debut with a stunning multi-media show that will transform the hallowed Concert Hall into a pulsing, visionary dancefloor of tomorrow.
A long-term collaborator with the legendary Eno, Hopkins is a two-time Mercury Prize nominee and Ivor Novello Award winner whose fifth and latest album, the masterful, Grammy-nominated Singularity, synthesises techno, acoustic piano, transcendent choral sounds and ambient psychedelia to create what Pitchfork called an “odyssey that thrums with spiritual resonance.”
Hopkins set follows the thrilling Concert Hall tradition of many of modern music’s most revered electronic acts, including Underworld, James Blake, Four Tet, Caribou, Flying Lotus and more recently Tycho and Maribou State.
This will be Hopkins’ only appearance in NSW and ACT. Don’t miss the chance to experience a thumping, mind-meltingly good night out in the hands of one of electronic music’s finest.
