2022 Tour

The Sydney-raised band are returning home for their 2022 Tour with an epic concert on the Forecourt.

Due to ongoing restrictions the 5SOS  tour dates are being rescheduled to December 2022.

All bookings for are valid for the new dates:

Fri 9 December 2022 – Sydney, Sydney Opera House Forecourt (previously Sun 28 November 2021)

Sat 10 December 2022 – Sydney, Sydney Opera House Forecourt (previously Sat 27 November 2021)

All tickets remain valid for the rescheduled shows without the need for exchange. Patrons unable to attend the new dates can obtain a refund from the point of purchase. Refund requests are to be submitted prior to 5pm, Sun 7 November 2021.

They will be posted closer to the event date. 

To combat ticket scalping, forgery and credit card fraud, tickets will be sent closer to the event. If you select Print at Home, they will be emailed on the morning of the event. If you elect to collect your tickets, you may visit our Box Office anytime from 9am, Friday 26 February 2021. If you select to have your tickets sent by post, they should be received on or before Wednesday 17 March 2021 Important: Collector tickets will only be sent by post. No other delivery methods are available for Collector tickets.

Don’t miss this epic concert on the Sydney Opera House Forecourt when 5 Seconds of Summer return to their hometown for their 2022 Tour.

No Shame is the current single lifted from the forthcoming fourth studio album, Calm, following 2014’s self-titled debut, 2015’s Sounds Good Feels Good and 2018’s Youngblood - all of which debuted at #1 on the both the ARIA Album Chart and Billboard 200. 

Across their career, including their most recent Australian tour dates, 2018’s Meet You There Tour and 2019’s Friends of Friends special event which saw the band team up with local acts Amy Shark and Genesis Owusu to raise money for Blacktown Youth Services Association, 5SOS has sold in excess of two million concert tickets worldwide. They have also sold more than eight million equivalent album units and while cumulative streams of their songs now surpass seven billion.

The band – comprising Luke Hemmings (vocals/guitar), Michael Clifford (vocals/guitar), Calum Hood (vocals/bass) and Ashton Irwin (vocals/drums) – has been recognized with an array of prestigious accolades including an American Music Award, a People’s Choice Award, two iHeartRadio Music Awards, eight MTV European Music Awards, five ARIA Awards, two APRA and two MTV Video Music Awards.

Who are the authorised ticket sellers for this event?

The authorised agencies for this event are Sydney Opera House and Ticketmaster excluding Ticketmaster Resale.

Only tickets purchased by authorised agencies should be considered reliable.

The Sydney Opera House is the only authorised ticket seller for Events at the Sydney Opera House, unless we specify on our website that there are other authorised ticket sellers for a specific event.

If you purchase tickets from Ticketmaster Resale, Viagogo, Ticketbis, eBay, Gumtree, Tickets Australia or any other unauthorised seller you risk that these tickets are fake, void or have previously been cancelled.

What time do I need to arrive before the event?

It’s a great idea to arrive early, relax and soak up the atmosphere.

If you are collecting your tickets from the Box Office, we recommend doing this at least 30 minutes before the event starts. If you have already received your tickets, aim to arrive at least 15 minutes before the event. This should allow enough time for the mandatory visual inspections and/or cloaking of bags and personal belongings by Opera House security staff before entering the venue and finding your seats.

We recommend leaving all large bags at home, any bags larger than an A4 piece of paper is required to be checked into the Cloak Room.

If you are late, we will seat you as soon as possible, but please be aware that some events have lock out periods. In these cases, latecomers will be admitted at a suitable break in the performance. On occasions this may not be until the interval, or at all where there is no interval. Can I take photos during the event?

We can’t confirm that you can take photos at this event.  Please check with staff when you arrive.

What are the transport options to the Opera House?

You can catch public transport (bus, train, ferry) to Circular Quay and enjoy a 6 min walk to the Opera House. If you’re getting dropped off in a car head to the roundabout at the bottom Macquarie Street where staff will direct you to a safe place to pull over.

What can I bring with me?

All ticketholders must present their bags and personal belongings for visual inspection or x-ray screening by Sydney Opera House security staff before entering the venue as a safety precaution and condition of entry. Valid photo ID must be presented to purchase a drink from the theatre bar.

To avoid delays, please leave anything larger than an A4 sheet of paper at home.

Larger items – including handbags bigger than A4-size,  backpacks, umbrellas, suitcases and prams – are not permitted inside the venues and must be cloaked.

What should I wear?

So long as you’re wearing shoes and a shirt, whatever you like. We’re pretty informal here at the Opera House.

Can I take food & drink inside the venue?

We can’t confirm that you can take food and drink into this event. Please check with our staff when you arrive. 

Will my experience be impacted by the Opera House’s Renewal works?

  • In February 2020, the Opera House will begin major Concert Hall renewal works to transform the world-famous venue for 21st century performances. You can find out more here.
  • While the Concert Hall is closed, the rest of Opera House will remain open and vibrant, with unmissable performances and experiences across all other venues and the wider precinct.
