Utzon's Universe

Ever wondered how the Opera House was built? Utzon’s Universe is a series of free workshops these April school holidays exploring the design principles of architect Jørn Utzon.

In the Utzon Room | Kids & Families

“...explore the world of architecture, using both your hands and your mind with Jørn Utzon as your guide."

Bring out your inner architect!

Utzon's Universe is a series of free workshops for kids, based on the book Utzon's Universe written by Denmark’s finest architectural educators Malene Abildgaard and Julie Dufour.

Create and play with House in a Tree, Chair with a Form and A Soft Cave. Each station will be staffed by an artist who will help you and your family produce wonderful creations based on the architectural principles of Jørn Utzon.

Make mini models and daring constructions with the whole family!

This is a free event. All materials are supplied but bookings are essential.
