Kate Bolick's first book, the bestselling Spinster: Making a Life of One’s Own, was named a New York Times Notable Book of 2015. A contributing editor for The Atlantic, Bolick has written for The New York Times, Slate, Vogue and The Boston Globe's Ideas Section. A recipient of a MacDowell Fellowship, she holds a Masters in cultural criticism from New York University. She teaches creative nonfiction at New York University and lives in Brooklyn.
