Persons will only be admitted to a Venue if they possess a valid Ticket for a Session or valid Accreditation which must be presented for inspection at the Venue point of entry.
Ticket Holders must retain their Ticket at all times whilst they are within a Venue. Ticket Holders will be required to produce their ticket if requested by Venue Personnel.
Once a Ticket Holder has entered a Session at a Venue, they are not permitted to leave and re-enter that Venue during the same Session unless it has been determined by AIMG that a pass out system will be implemented.
Accreditation holders must have their Accreditation visible at all times whilst they are within a Venue. Accreditation holders will be required to present their Accreditation if requested by Venue Personnel.
Persons who are under 16 years of age will only be admitted to a Venue if they are accompanied by an adult.
As per our ticket terms and conditions:
All ticket holders must present valid photo ID upon entry. This can be a drivers license, passport or photo card
A valid ticket must be presented upon arrival, please print at home. As a back up, we suggest having your tickets on your phone
There is one ticket per person. Each ticket has a barcode and this needs to be scanned upon entry. Multiple tickets of one ticket will not allow multiple entries into the event. The unique bar code on each ticket can only be used once
This is an over 18's event, under 18’s will not be admitted and turned away
This event is strictly non-smoking
Unauthorised sale or duplication of this ticket will prevent your admittance to the event
If you have purchased a ticket from any source other than www.newyearseveportsidesydney.com.au or www.sydneyoperahouse.com, we are unable to verify if the ticket is genuine and cannot guarantee your entry into the event
In the event that duplicate copies appear, Portside Sydney reserves the right to refuse entry to ALL ticket holders
We suggest comfortable shoes as the event will be on granite all night
Should it rain, there will be ponchos available for guests
Conditions of Entry
Although we will endeavour to adhere to the publicised package contents you accept that Portside Sydney has the right to alter elements of the event in our sole discretion.
The right of admission is reserved and is also subject to Portside Sydney and Sydney Opera House terms of admission.
It will be a condition of entry that a search of person or possessions may be required at the time of entry to the venue.
There is to be no glass, alcohol or illegal substances brought onto the Sydney Opera House site.
Entry will be refused if ticket is damaged, altered or defaced in any way or not purchased from an authorised point of sale.
Portside Sydney will not take responsibility for any loss or damage to your property (inc personal property such as bags or money) brought to or purchased at the event by you or your invitees.
All ticket sales are final. Tickets will not be refunded after purchase for any reason.
There are no refunds due to inclement weather, cancellation of fireworks, failure to adhere to any of the ticket information above or these terms and conditions.
Portside Sydney practices the responsible service of alcohol. Patrons behaving in a drunken, disorderly or inappropriate manner may be refused entry and/or can be evicted at any time.
You will be liable for any loss or damage caused at the event by you or your invitees.
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone the event for any reason. In the event of cancellation of the event we will provide a refund less an amount to cover the cost of ticketing.
There will be no refund on any unused portion of tickets if you or your invitees are asked or forced to leave or if you decide not to attend any part of the event.
Doors open at 7.30pm, event closes at 1.00am. All patrons must be off the Sydney Opera House site by 2am.
