The greatest love story ever told

Peter Evans directs an exquisitely intimate new production of the greatest love story ever told, Romeo and Juliet, starring Jacob Warner (Hamlet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream) and Rose Riley (Hamlet, Richard 3).

After a chance meeting, an intense but forbidden love is ignited between two young lovers, Romeo and Juliet. And despite the unending, violent feud between their families, they will risk everything to be together.

This passionate portrayal of Romeo and Juliet will bring you closer than ever before to the intensity and the heartbreak of Shakespeare’s most evocative tragedy.

Venue information

The Neilson Nutshell

Pier 2/3 is a heritage listed finger wharf in the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct. Steeped in Sydney’s industrial history, Pier 2/3 is part of a landmark project by the NSW Government to rejuvenate Walsh Bay into a cultural and creative hub.

Pier 2/3 is located at Walsh Bay, 13A Hickson Road, Dawes Point.

The entrance to The Neilson Nutshell is located midway down Pier 2/3. Follow the signage for Performance Spaces. The Neilson Nutshell is located on Level 1 and is accessible by both stairs or lift.

Transport options

It is a brisk 15-20 minute walk from Circular Quay and Wynyard transport hubs. Hickson Road is serviced by the 324 and 325 bus service or the 311 to Millers Point. Pedestrian and cycle paths service Walsh Bay Arts Precinct from Barangaroo to Circular Quay. Metred parking is available on Hickson Road and paid off-street parking can be found at 26 Hickson Road (Interpark) and at the corner of Towns Place and Hickson Road (Wilsons).
