Tour & Souvenir Guidebook
Purchase a souvenir guide to take home with you after your tour.
Sydney Opera House is one of the most recognisable buildings in the world, offering unmissable art and incredible experiences in a setting like no place on earth. Situated on Sydney Harbour on Bennelong Point, it is Australia’s premier tourist attraction and a world-class performing arts centre. This souvenir guide traces the history of this extraordinary building – one that is synonymous with inspiration and imagination – through a beautifully realised combination of photography, text and quotes.
The book takes readers through the story of Bennelong Point from its history as a place of importance to First Nations peoples through to the modern day. It details the story of Sydney Opera House’s inception, the genius of its construction through to the controversy of Jørn Utzon’s resignation from the project. It also pays homage to the significant contribution of Peter Hall, as well as detailing its modern day use and renewal for future generations.

Need help with your tickets?
Can you help me with accessibility requirements?
If you use a wheelchair or have special access requirements, call our Accessibility Hotline on +61 2 9250 7752 as early as possible to book a wheelchair space or suitably located seats for your requirements.
Find out more information about accessibility at Sydney Opera House.
I have trouble with stairs, which seat should I book?
To find out how many steps it will take to reach a seat, read our Mobility Guide which includes a step counter by venue.
Can someone else collect the tickets I purchased?
Call us on +61 2 9250 7777 to authorise an alternative person to collect your tickets. Tickets which have been resold for profit without authorisation may be cancelled.
What if something is wrong with my Digital eTickets?
First, if you can’t find your tickets, check your junk or spam folder. If you cannot print in advance, arrive to your event early with your booking confirmation, and our Box Office team will be able to assist you.
Why am I charged a booking fee?
The Opera House is a not-for-profit organisation with a significant and ongoing investment in ticketing technology, infrastructure and personnel operating for extended trading hours. The booking fee makes a contribution towards sustaining this service.
The booking fee is applied per transaction, so it’s best to book everything you need in a single transaction. Frequent attendees should consider joining our Insider Membership program, which offers a range of benefits including waived booking fees.
Can I exchange or refund?
Refunds may be granted when an event is cancelled, postponed or specified as required in the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice. See our General Terms and Conditions for Tickets and Events for more detail.
Exchanges arranged in advance between performances of the same production are permitted on certain shows and a fee per ticket may apply. Call +61 2 9250 7777. Conditions may apply.
Why did the ticket prices change?
Ticket prices are subject to change without notice and may increase or decrease in response to demand. Booking early is your best bet at getting the seat you want.
I did not book through an authorised agency, will my ticket be valid?
Only tickets purchased by authorised agencies should be considered reliable. The Sydney Opera House is the only authorised ticket seller for Events at the Sydney Opera House, unless we specify on our website that there are other authorised ticket sellers for a specific event.
If you purchase tickets from Ticketmaster Resale, Viagogo, Ticketbis, eBay, Gumtree, Tickets Australia or any other unauthorised seller you risk that these tickets are fake, void or have previously been cancelled.
RESALE RESTRICTION APPLIES. For more details, please refer to our General Terms and Conditions for Tickets and Attendance at Events.
