Rare and intimate opportunity to experience solo cellist
Born in Yerevan, Armenia, Hakhnazaryan comes from a distinguished musical family. He shot to fame as the winner of the Cello First Prize and Gold Medal at the International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2011, at the age of just 22. Almost a decade later, he displays such creative genius to have already performed concertos with many of the leading orchestras in Europe, North America and East Asia, collaborating with conductors such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, David Robertson and Marin Alsop in repertoire from the 18th to 20th centuries. In this recital, he is joined by the exceptional Anna Goldsworthy on piano.
