Radical Son

Effortlessly crossing genres from soul to hip-hop and beyond, Radical Son is a standout vocalist and songwriter like no other.

On the Forecourt

This Event is:

Engaging
Entertaining
Moving
Free

Radical Son's often-poignant lyrics chart a course from hopelessness to healing; mercilessly deconstructing what is, and forever imagining what could be. Radical Son’s music and stories are always guided by his Indigenous heritage from the Kamilaroi nation of Australia and the south pacific nation of Tonga.

As a vocalist, Radical Son has a unique ability to deliver as a soul singer, rapper and spoken word artist. This natural dexterity defines his earned place and presence in the contemporary music landscape. The back-bone of Radical Son’s stories continuously urge our human spirit to approach life through love and compassion.

Experience the soulful sounds of Radical Son at Homeground 2017

Presented by the Sydney Opera House.

Homeground

For thousands of years, the land that Sydney Opera House is built on was a gathering place for the Gadigal people who danced and sang here.

Homeground continues the rich history of this site, formerly known as Tubowgule, by bringing the very best First Nations artists from around the world to the Opera House Forecourt for two free days of music, dance, workshops and markets.

Celebrate the power of contemporary artists and ancient customs under the sun and stars at Homeground 2017.
