Experience the internationally reknowned traditional New Zealand dancers Te Rua Mauri in their powerful expression of Maori music, spirit and culture.

Each of the members of Te Rua Mauri have walked their own cultural paths and have a wealth of life experience in connecting with other indigenous nations. This is achieved through sharing in the universal languages from arts and crafts to expressional dance.  All have been immersed in Maori culture and have represented their people nationally and internationally.

Presented by the Sydney Opera House.



Witness the powerful coming together of traditional customs and contemporary culture, with hundreds of First Nations dancers from around Australia and performers from around the world.

Join us on the forecourt, a First Nations meeting place for thousands of years, to share in this free festival of live dance, music and community.
