Intimate First Nations Contemporary Music
In collaboration with Sydney Opera House Partner Airbnb, this intimate, shared experience celebrates the vibrant, rich contemporary culture of our First Nations. Join us in the intimate Utzon Room as collaborative First Nations dance collective, Rako Pasefika performs for a night of unforgettable music and dance.
Rako Pasefika's music and dance is expressed through love and compassion for their heritage and ever-present connection to the Pacific Islands. Their aim is to breathe new life into ancient art forms, encourage innovation and freedom to create new works.
The group reigning from Fiji, Rotuma, Tonga and Rabi was founded with the goal to learn, to express, create and to nurture creativity. Rako in the Rotuman language means a place of learning and sharing, which ignited the group’s core values for creativity and environmental protection.
