The penultimate challenge
The adrenaline-charged Preliminary Rounds have resulted in 12 competitors making their way through to the Semi Finals and one step closer to realising their dream of being crowned the winner of the 2023 Sydney International Piano Competition. The Semi Final stage of the competition combines a 65 minute solo recital and a chamber music round; adding yet another test of the competitor’s mettle. Australian violinist Andrew Heveron and Chinese-Australian cellist Li-Wei Qin pair with the competitors to play either a violin or cello sonata.
After the final concert on Saturday 15 July, and included in the ticket price, attend the announcement of the six Finalists and enjoy a special cocktail reception as we get one step closer to crowning the 2023 winner.
