Thum Prints
An SSO Family Concert
Beatboxer Tom Thum wowed audiences at TEDxSydney in 2013. (The video from that presentation is approaching 60 million views.) Armed with just a microphone, this magnificently talented dude produced an inexhaustible vocal inventory of glorious and weird noises, not to mention some favourite classical tunes. Now, teaming up with composer Gordon Hamilton, he’s taken it to the next level, smooshing together the sounds of a real-life orchestra with all the surprising possibilities of beatboxing.
Come and discover some wild and astonishing sounds when we perform Thum Prints, a concerto (sorry, contradiction!) for beatboxer and orchestra. An SSO family concert.
Suitable for ages 5-12 and their families
