Captioned Performances -  Wednesday 16 October 1pm, Friday 25 October 8pm

Captions are text descriptions that display a film's dialogue, identify speakers, and describe other relevant sounds that are otherwise inaccessible to people who are deaf or have hearing loss. The areas of the venue where the screens that will show the captions are visible can be booked by selecting the CAPTION seats.

Auslan Interpreted Performance - Thursday 17 October 8pm

Experienced Auslan theatre interpreters stand to the side of the stage and translate what the actors are saying or singing into Auslan. A block of seats is reserved for users of this service to ensure a good view of the interpreter and the stage. The areas of the venue where the interpreters are visible can be booked by selecting the Auslan seats.


Audio Described Performance - Saturday 26 October 2pm

An audio description service is a live commentary of the visual elements of a performance by trained volunteer audio describers for those who are blind or have low vision. Audio description is relayed via a free headset and receiver linked to the FM radio system. This service can be booked by selecting the AUDIO DESCRIBED seats when booking and collecting the headset from the Box Office prior to the performance.

Children aged 15 years and under must be accompanied at all times.  Children aged 0-23 months  at the time of a performance may be seated on a parent’s lap free of charge.  All children occupying a seat or aged 2 years of age must hold a valid ticket.

Only tickets purchased by authorised agencies should be considered valid and reliable.

The Sydney Opera House is the only authorised ticket seller for Events at the Sydney Opera House, unless we specify on our website that there are other authorised ticket sellers for a specific event.

Tickets purchased from Ticketmaster Resale, Viagogo, Ticketbis, eBay, Gumtree, Tickets Australia or any other unauthorised re-seller may be cancelled without notice and/or the holder may be refused admission to the event. 

You can catch public transport (bus, train, ferry) to Circular Quay and enjoy a 6 min walk to the Opera House. If you’re getting dropped off in a car head to the roundabout at the bottom Macquarie Street where staff will direct you to a safe place to pull over.
