“Stomping bangers… they turned ten years of intelligent dub, instrumental hip hop and big beats into a continuous 90-minute party.”
Australia’s dynamic dancefloor duo bring the party back to Vivid LIVE
Get ready to cut loose for a night of massive dancefloor bangers as Australia’s premier party rocking duo Hermitude rock the Northern Broadwalk for their Sydney Opera House – and Vivid LIVE – debut and launch of their new album, Mirror Mountain.
Since 2003, chart-topping production duo Hermitude – comprising multi-instrumentalists Luke Dubs and El Gusto – have crafted beats that blend hip-hop, funk, dubstep and pop, electrifying clubs and festival crowds alike from Sydney to SXSW and Lollapalooza. They won the coveted Australian Music Prize for their breakthrough fourth album HyperParadise (2012), with its Flume-remixed title track smash, and sent the ARIA-nominated follow-up Dark Night Sweet Light (2015), which yielded the irresistible jam “The Buzz”, to number one on the charts. Having pushed further into experimentalism on Pollyanarchy (2019), the Blue Mountains boys are back with a pair of fresh smashes – “St Claire” and “Promises” – ahead of their long-awaited new album, Mirror Mountain.

The health, safety and wellbeing of everyone at the Sydney Opera House is our top priority. In line with this commitment, the Opera House will become a smoke-free site from Saturday 1 January 2022.
By becoming a smoke-free site, the Opera House seeks to reduce exposure to harmful second-hand smoke, as well as minimise the impact of smoking on the environment, including litter and pollution of the surrounding marine environment.
There will be a designated viewing area of the Opera House sails situated near the Whalebridge restaurant for accessible-needs patrons. The area offers excellent views of the Lighting of the Sails – a centrepiece of Vivid Sydney – and other harbourside lighting attractions.
For patrons who are blind or have low vision, the Opera House will be hosting two audio-described sessions of this year’s images projected on to the sails. For more information please visit the event page.
