Smoke-Free Environment Policy
The Sydney Opera House is committed to provide a smoke-free environment for its workers and visitors and to reduce the harmful impacts of smoking in the environment, which includes litter and pollution of the marine environment.
The Opera House has adopted a Smoke-Free Environment. From the 1st January 2022 smoking will be prohibited on the Opera House precinct and at all Opera House-owned or -operate sites.
The policy applies to all areas of the of the Opera House precinct and covers all forms of tobacco and non-tobacco smoking, including cigarettes, vapes, e-cigarettes, cigars and water pipe tobacco smoking.
