Events by Aria has been our resident caterer at the Sydney Opera House since May 2012. Launched in November 2010 by Matt Moran of Aria Restaurant, Events by Aria offers conceptual and unique catering for events in and around Sydney. With menus created by Matt Moran coupled with seamless service and professional management, Events by Aria creates truly memorable events and experiences.    

Whether you’re looking across to the Harbour Bridge in the Northern Foyers or taking in rare easterly views of Sydney Harbour from the Utzon Room, our team offers a professional service that will exceed your expectations and leave you with a lifetime of warm memories.

Matt Moran, Celebrity Chef

Events by Aria is owned and operated by chef Matt Moran and MorSol business partner, Bruce Solomon, also owners of Aria Sydney, Aria Brisbane, CHISWICK in Woollahra, CHISWICK at the Gallery, and North Bondi Fish.

Group Executive Chef Ben Turner leads the Events by Aria kitchen along with Head Chef Sarah Jewell. Ben has worked closely with Matt for many years at award-winning Aria in Sydney, and holds more than 15 years of experience in restaurants around the globe.

Concert Hall
The world-renowned Concert Hall is the Sydney Opera House’s most majestic space. The largest of the internal venues, its high vaulted ceiling, white birch timber and brush box paneling provide an incredible setting for your event.
The Playhouse
Storytelling in all forms—dance, theatre, music or spoken-word—comes alive in the intimate surrounds of the Playhouse. An excellent setting for dramatic performances, film screenings, presentations and conferences.
The Studio
The Studio is an ideal space for contemporary music, film screenings, cocktail parties, cabaret and circus acts or spoken-word and corporate presentations. The flexible seating layout allows for standing crowds, cabaret-style or tiered seating.
