Butter, the iconic fried chicken and sneaker joint in Surry Hills, has combined forces with award-winning distillery Archie Rose to bring you fried chicken, cocktails and beats at NEON RAMEN, a limited time pop-up in the Yallamundi Rooms.
NEON RAMEN will be serving up Butter’s famous fried chicken atop of steaming hot ramen. There'll be burgers, tenders coated in an Archie Rose glaze with crispy golden fries, and hot cinnamon donuts. Pair with Archie Rose cocktails or get fancy with G.H. Mumm Champagne. Sneakers will adorn the walls of the Yallamundi Rooms while local DJs will be on the decks for nightly beats against the backdrop of a glowing Sydney Harbour.
Open for dine-in and takeaway. Bookings are recommended, walk-ins are welcome.

NEON RAMEN is located in the Yallumundi Rooms on the Northern Broadwalk of the Opera House.
To access to the Yallamundi Rooms walk along the Harbour Bridge side of the Forecourt, past the Monumental Steps and Portside Restaurant. As you get to the end of the path, head right until you see a large event space with floor to ceiling glass windows. You have arrived at NEON RAMEN in the Yallamundi Rooms.

Covid-safe information
The health and wellbeing of everyone attending the Opera House is our top priority. We’re committed to making your experience safe, comfortable and enjoyable, with a number of measures in place including regular cleaning of high-touch areas, air conditioning systems that maximise ventilation, and hand sanitiser stations positioned in all paths of travel. We encourage you to wear a mask in indoor settings or when physical distancing can’t be maintained, and please stay home if you feel unwell. Yes. The Opera House is registered as a COVID Safe business with the NSW Government.
The Sydney Opera House no longer requires patrons to show that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Face masks are strongly recommended for all patrons while inside our venues. Please bring your own mask.
Contact information is required when making a booking with us and upon arrival at the Opera House, as set out in our General Terms and Conditions for Tickets and Attendance at Events and our Customer Privacy Statement.
As the booker, you are responsible for recording the contact details of your guests. Contact information will only be used for the purposes of contact tracing, if required, and will be deleted at least 28 days after your event.

NEON RAMEN in the Yallamundi Rooms accommodates patrons with accessibility requirements. The restaurant is located on the ground level of the Opera House, and is also accessible from the carpark via the Western Foyer lift.
Please speak to our friendly team and they can recommend the best items on the menu for you.
Outdoor seating is available though limited.
We recommend dressing warmly if dining outside and while you experience Vivid.
