The inspiration behind Laser Beak Man...

Join us on World Autism Day for a live and interactive author talk with Brisbane’s internationally acclaimed artist Tim Sharp.

Diagnosed with Autism, Tim’s artistic talent developed from age of 11 when he created his own super hero, Laser Beak Man. Tim’s creativity has seen him become the first person in the world with Autism to have his art turned into an animated television series screening on the ABC and internationally. His art is sold to collectors from around the world and in 2017 a theatrical adaptation of Laser Beak Man had its world premiere at Brisbane Festival. Tim's art has led him on adventures around the world, and the opportunity to work with people to create artistic projects.

This digital talk will feature the dynamic son and mother duo, Tim and Judy Sharp, focusing on Tim’s approach to drawing and storytelling, and how he was inspired to create Laser Beak Man.
