Learn writing and narrative skills in fun, creative ways

Each workshop will use performances from the Sydney Opera House Creative Learning program as inspiration.

Each workshop will use performances from the Sydney Opera House Creative Learning program as inspiration and will challenge students to engage with essential components of writing and narrative in fun, creative ways. The Wolf and Peter workshop will assist students in crafting compelling plots and introduce them to the fundamental elements of narrative storytelling. The Horrible Harriet workshop will ask students to consider what makes a compelling character and provide them with the tools to create surprising and engaging characters of their own. The Young King workshop will challenge students to confront moral dilemmas in texts and their own writing, through immersive activities and dramatic tasks.

Based in Redfern, Sydney Story Factory is a creative literacy centre that ignites creativity in students through fun and engaging writing activities. With many years of experience running creative writing workshops for ages 7+, this interactive workshop will improve student literacy skills, boost confidence and help students find their voice.
