Adventure through ancient lore

Discover how sound can tell stories and create atmosphere in this magnificent musical experience.  With new compositions inspired the seasons and the natural environment in Wreck Bay, we learn about the ‘old ways’ of life on the NSW South Coast through stories and cultural teachings told to us by Budawang Elder from the Yuin Nation, Noel Butler – one of Aunty Brenda’s mob!

Join ABC Bushwacked’s Kamil Ellis and Ensemble Offspring in this tailored and interactive show that will develop sensory perception, musical literacy and awareness of instrument sounds in a fun and relaxed format. Music for The Dreaming is a brand new production celebrating new classical music for young Australian audiences. After the show, students can meet the musicians and instruments.

Presented by Sydney Opera House, ABC KIDS listen and ABC Classic FM in collaboration with Ensemble Offspring and composer Brenda Gifford of the 2017 Indigenous Composers Initiative.
