Macbeth: Creative Learning
Ancient Scotland bridges with the contemporary world in this brand new production of William Shakespeare's Macbeth.
In the Playhouse
It’s Shakespeare’s original language, within an innovative framework that urgently asks why this play, and why now?
The charm’s wound up.
Ancient Scotland bridges with the contemporary world in this brand new production of William Shakespeare's Macbeth.
Set in a media rich, audiovisual landscape, three teenage girls take hold of a camera and the narrative as the Weird Sisters, presenting the play through a fresh lens. Using video projection, technology will intersect the plot and characters, as Macbeth’s bloodthirsty campaign rages towards its end. Watching, documenting and interfering with the medieval world, the Weird Sisters hold the fate of the play in their hands.
It’s Shakespeare’s original language, within an innovative framework that urgently asks why this play, and why now?
