Portside

Portside is currently closed however we’re thrilled to announce that we’re preparing to reopen our iconic harbourside restaurants, Opera Bar and Opera Kitchen from Wednesday 13 October.

The health and safety of everyone at the Opera House is always our top priority. We will be operating in line with the NSW Public Health orders in place at time of opening.

We look forward to sharing more information about the reopening of Portside, our other dining venues, theatres, tours and retail outlets soon. We appreciate your ongoing support and understanding.

Brunch, lunch and dinner under the sails of the Sydney Opera House

Wondering where you can escape and enjoy a private harbourside dining experience with uninterrupted views of the Sydney skyline? Look no further than Portside Sydney. Located in the Western Foyers and Colonnade that were redesigned by Opera House architect Jørn Utzon in 2006, tables at Portside Sydney look across to Circular Quay and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The restaurant offers an à la carte menu of casual dining designed by chefs Elton Inglis and Karl Patrick Thomas. Indulge in saltwater barramundi with cauliflower, charcoal brioche, macadamia, and pancetta crumb. Delight in our coconut and lychee trifle with lime leaf, ginger ice cream, and freeze-dried fruit crumble. Or just pop in for a coffee and treat.
